Will There Be A New Windows Phone?
Microsoft was the leader of mobile operating systems for years. Before tablets became popular, they offered tablets with their operating system. They were developing Windows Mobile for years before Android was born.
The last iterations of Windows Phones had a state of art design that users recall with nostalgia.
It has been several years since Windows Mobile system development was halted. So where is Microsoft now if it comes to mobile operating systems?
Only Microsoft knows the exact goals, and we don't know if they want to come back into the mobile OS market. But over the last years we can see some interesting trends Microsoft is investing money in.

First of all, and that one is very important, Microsoft essentially is cooling down the .NET Framework and replacing it with .NET Core. To a point where the latter one is called .NET.
I think it is an important move for several reasons. First is that .NET is open source. Before, Microsoft's flagship framework was developed only by its employees. Open source proved to be a better way to handle such projects, which we can see today where various apps and frameworks are blooming under the care of hundreds or thousands of developers around the world.
