🍀 The Growing Number Of Non-Javascript Web Frameworks
Javascript developers, buckle up. C++ developers may take your jobs!
We all became accustomed to write web apps in Javascript. Even TypeScript being only a coating makes you use Javascript all the time.
But it was not always like this. In the early days of the Web Microsoft in a classical Microsoft move offered his variant of Visual Basic in a brave attempt to take over the Internet with his programming language and Internet Explorer.
Eventually it didn’t happen and now no one even knows, including me, what even was the name of the language. Honestly I never tried it.
But the early idea of having multiple languages to write online apps was essentially good, but unfortunately it didn’t fit for many reasons the needs for the web.
Mostly because it was growing so fast, no one ever imagined that there will be any sense in having multiple languaged website.
