Sometimes you just have to swollow your pride and apologize. Today I have to offer my sorries to PHP developers who follow my articles.

As you have surely noticed, I didn’t cover what’s new in PHP 8.2 while I was covering all other language updates for last four months.

I didn’t do it on purpose, I just missed that update. To prove I am covering PHP too, here is a link to an October article about PHP 8.1.11, and here is a January article about 5 Awesome PHP Projects.

PHP 8.2 was released on the beginning of December. Two months ago. I have this out of my chest. So let’s dig into the changes. I will cover 8.2, 8.2.1 and 8.2.2 (released on the second day of February). For all details you can check out the link at the end of the article. I will tell you about the most interesting changes, because PHP developers completed over 200 tickets.

Faster Memory Intense Applications On MacOS

In the changelog you can find a core position called “Support huge pages on MacOS”. People who reported about 8.2 changes seemed to miss that one, but it is very important.
