It's an interesting option. I personally don't like splitting date into separate fields because you have to tab/enter between them.

For example when you typed the whole date, when you want to fix one digit, in one field you can use arrows. With separate fields you have to use tab and shift tab too.

Also it's harder to copy and paste three fields instead of one.

But it's an interesting angle. Maybe on some cases it would be beneficial. For sure a thing to think about! Thanks!
