IntelliJ IDEA 2024.2 is here, and it brings a sleek new UI that’s turning heads in the developer community. With a focus on user experience, this update makes working with Git smoother and more intuitive than ever, leaving VSCode users second-guessing their loyalty.

On August 7, Maria Kosukhina announced IntelliJ IDEA 2024.2 is out. It comes with multiple interesting improvements in areas like Spring support and Cron hinting.

One thing that catches my attention is how easy it is to work with Git. In VSCode it’s quite a distress, and it doesn’t work always as expected. here you have an info about your current branch in the header:
