I also opposed strongly to nesting. However, I grew to like it, because CSS is then organized in a way that helps edit it, and having a short list of settings for an element is calming. I had to set up my IDE to navigate with click to the definion but once that was solved, it's pretty nice. The only cevant I see is that's a bit harder to find a class from a class name in the browser.

But I get your point, and I hope the tooling will eventually make nesting 100% beneficial
