You’ve invented a programming language and want to name it Kat+#? This article is for you!

Creating a new language is a task on it’s own. And the hardest part is to name it correctly. Since I am working with multiple programming languages I want to help you. From the article you will learn what mistakes were made naming popular programming languages, so you won’t repeat them.

When creating a programming language you can choose a mascot for it. It is quite popular in tech. For example Go language has a cute gopher. Ember framework gas a mascot too. As you can see mascots are not limited to sports teams.

When choosing a mascot it is important to choose one that is cute, so that people will go awwww! and love your language.

Especially when you want to name a programming language directly after a mascot. Python creator failed successfully in this task. He chose a mascot, but it’s not something you’d hug:
