Facebook (Meta) deleted my local community group we were working pro bono for several years and didn’t give any way to prevent it

Not a good day for me. Today Facebook deleted a group I have created for my local community several years ago. It attracted 11 thousand citizens. They were able to buy and sell stuff. Also, the group had a moderator and rules in place to comply with Facebook rules. But it didn’t help. Today, the group was removed. Here is a story why Facebook (Meta) sucks!

I have created over past years several groups on Facebook, mostly for programming enthusiasts. But one group was for my local community. On 17 March I received an e-mail from Facebook:

As you can see, the message:

  • Does not display the group name. It displays {group_name} tag only lol
  • does not have any information what infringed rights
  • Mixes English and Polish language

It was only my supposition that my local city group was the group in concern. But didn’t know for sure. I went to my group to see admin panel, and there was no information about what infringed rights. The group had a green status saying it is of a good quality.

Fast-forward, three months later, I received again an e-mail:
