🥥 Django 5.0: 3 Features You Waited For That Will Go Public In December 2023
Django is an awesome western movie born in the mind of Quentin Tarantino that wasn’t inspired by the Python based web framework of the same name.
It was initially released 17 years ago in 2005. It was a hard year for the humanity, but some important things happened. YouTube was born. Kyoto protocol was signed and Live 8 concert took place.
Django is also the baby of 2005, and after 17 years it became the golden standard for web apps built with Python.

It offers a wide range of built in features, handling everything from database operations to rendering the web frontend.
According to the schedule, in December 2023 Django 5.0 will be released. It will be the next major release after Django 4.0 release that took place in December 2021.
The difference between these two will be two years plus something like three days.
While we have still seven months until that release happens, we know a little bit about what will become a part of Django 5.0 that should reach the alpha stage in September freezing added features.
