Nothing ia worse than when you come back from a holiday, and your Typescript is gone.

In the recent announcement we’ve learned that Turbo 8 will drop Typescript.

It was two days ago, so we already have some feedback on this massive move.

Turbo is a concept of writing an application with a minimal number of lines of Javascript code.

To accomplish it it introduces some novel ways of handling an app with new, special HTML tags and a library that helps you complete an app easily.

Currently latest version is 7.3.0. It has 84 contributors, 5.6k stars, and os downloaded 1,5kk times per week. A very high number showing it has a steady and growing user base.

You might wonder why a framework aiming at releasing developers from the need of writing repeatable Javascript code, actually uses a Javascript superset in their own codebase.

We’ll get to that later. The Turbo 8 won’t have any Typescript code in it.
