How Devices Are Taking Control of Our Lives In An Unexpected Way

Did any device or system started lately to tell you what you should do? You are not alone. Devices are taking over the world. It’s happening right now right here!

I don’t know if you’re familiar with the movie Terminator. If you don’t know it welcome to year 2024 traveller from the past.

Most people know this movie because it was the first box office popular movie about machines taking over the blue marble.

We tend to think it’s plausible future, but team humans 💪

On the other hand we seem to have a grip on the situation. We have even “intelligent” dishwashers and these comply to Assimov rules. To not harm human.

But there’s something that starts to bother me, and I’m interested if you noticed it too.

Years ago, when my phone was about to switch off due to low battery, it just switched off. Maybe it played a sad sound before. But it just died.

But now it’s not the same. When the battery drops to 20% the phone tells me I should charge it. Again at 10%, 5%, 3%, 2%. And it’s not like I can disable these fullscreen messages.

I even contacted the customer support and they said it’s impossible to disable these because it’s good for the battery.
