😡 Adobe’s New Terms Of Service Enraged Graphic Designers

Graphic designers read TOS changes and are enfuriated. But there’s a little know detail about these changes

I don’t know if you heard about it yet. But Adobe asked people to accept an updated set of Terms Of Use and it triggered people.

The stories I’ve red were terryfing. Because based on the new terms people assumed Adobe wants to take all the creatives people make and train AI with it, and sell it for a profit.

People got worried they will be ripped off from their work, and that new TOS stating that Adobe can manually or automatically review creatives, will breach their NDA’s.

After reading official Adobe comments it seems these claims are exacerbated.

What seems to be happening is Adobe is claryfing it may review cloud files if these are not against the law etc.

If you upload a file to a cloud, you upload it to someone else’s computer. So he has the technical possibility to access the file. It’s nothing new. It’s how the world works. So it’s quite surprising to see people just discovered it.

Of course if would be awesome if the company didn’t have access, but we’d be talking about zero knowledge system. It’s quite new…
