A story about the virus
Usually microbes are not harmful. They have adapted to live among us. While we all share pieces of DNA with them, sometimes they become aggressive. The DNA changes in some weird way, incubates somewhere in the darkness and grows to pose a thread to us all.
Viruses killed millions of people worldwide. We all wished at the beginning it will be contained only far away. It makes sense, since all preceding viruses didn’t spread worldwide.
But sometimes it is different. It systematically is taking over other countries. Than we think it will stop soon. But become worried.
When it reaches our country, we are worried, but still it is not in our city. It is just when a friend or family member almost dies from it, it really gives us the sense what a thread a virus can be.
It is a part of human nature I think, that we are great at explaining how something does not affect me, and why I should not care. Or even why the virus is good, or not as bad.
The same attitude that gives us piece of mind in the complicated world also poses a risk of ignoring a real thread.
Fortunately it occurs there are ways we can treat viruses. One of the methods is to isolate. We have seen that method working across the globe.
Countries isolated from countries where the illness grew. We have seen people isolating from others to not becoming ill. It worked and really no one took it personally. It is just a thing to do. Protect myself from the illness that…
